Experience. Insight.
With over 33 years of experience in the managed services industry, I have seen a lot of change. As a partner in one of the largest Managed Service Providers in New England, I held roles as a Network Field Engineer, Director of Network Services, vCIO, and Vice President of Sales. I guided my technical team through the evolution of a Novell-centric network world to a the Microsoft dominated server model. I managed the company through the transition from project based services to a full service Managed Services firm. And I mentored our sales force through the traditional on-premise sales process to value-added approach of a cloud services sale.
Most recently I held the role of Managing Director of the Washington D.C. metro market for a national MSP.
Throughout my career I worked within the realm of the combined Managed Service Provider and MFP/ECM dealership. I have extensive experience in capitalizing on the ability to cross-sell MSP services into an established MPF/ECM client portfolio. I am also familiar with the unique challenges this type of organization faces.,
Through the years I have been involved in several best practices groups such as True Profits Group and Ingram Micro’s Venture Tech. Through this experience I have gained extensive insight into the practices of many MSPs across the country.
In the past several years the threat landscape for MSPs has grown exponentially. MSPs are viewed as targets by nefarious organizations. It is time to review contract language, insurance coverage, internal security, and external risks. I can help MSPs manage their risk in the current environment.
